Banta Partner Gary S. Redish Handles Sale of Mark Lighting Fixture Gary S. Redish, partner in the Hackensack law
firm, Winne, Banta, Hetherington, Basralian & Kahn, P.C.,
represented Mark Lighting Fixture Co. of Edison, NJ, in its asset
sale to Acuity Brands Inc. (NYSE: AYI) of Atlanta, GA. Partner
Michael G. Stingone of Winne Banta worked on the environmental
aspects of the transaction. After the sale, Mark Lighting will continue
operations as a unit of Acuity Brands Lighting in its existing
Edison facility. Mark Lighting was founded in 1965 by Carl Coppola.
Acuity posted 2006 sales of $2.4 billion; the acquisition is a
complement to the recently opened Acuity Brands Lighting sales and
marketing office in NYC. The team of lawyers for Acuity Brands Inc
included Barry R. Goldman, Senior VP and General Counsel of Acuity
Brands Lighting and these lawyers from the firm of Kilpatrick
