Ronald Abramson

Ronald M. Abramson joined the firm as a shareholder in the Litigation Department in January 2010, when he and other members of his former firm, Kleeblatt, Galler & Abramson, L.L.C., merged with Winne, Banta, Hetherington, Basralian & Kahn, P.C. In 1966, he was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree from Syracuse University, where he was an accounting major in the Whitman School of Management, and earned his Juris Doctor Degree in 1970 from the Seton Hall University School of Law.

Mr. Abramson was licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, on December 1, 1970, the United States Tax Court on June 5, 1974, and the Supreme Court of the United States on June 1, 1976. The focus of Mr. Abramson's practice has been in the areas of Family Law (divorce, custody, parenting time, alimony, child support, equitable distribution, adoption, and domestic violence) and contested matters arising from disputes of wills, estates, trusts and guardianships.

Mr. Abramson has extensive experience before the Bench, having litigated or argued matters at the Trial and Appellate levels. He was lead counsel in the Supreme Court published opinions rendered in Vasconi v. Guardian Life Ins. Co., 124 N.J. 338 (1991), and Shah v. Shah, 184 N.J. 125 (2005) and in the published Appellate Division cases of Cohen v. Cohen, 258 N.J. Super. 24 (App.Div. 1992), cert den., 130 N.J. 596 (1992), Schuyler v. Ashcraft, 293 N.J. Super. 216 (App.Div. 1996) cert den., 147 N.J. 578 (1997), and Shah v. Shah, 373 N.J. Super. 47 (App.Div. 2004), as well as numerous matters resulting in unpublished Appellate Division opinions. In addition, Mr. Abramson was a lecturer for the National Business Institute, Inc. (NBI) and the Estate and Trust Section of the Bergen County Bar Association. He has also authored publications for the NBI, entitled "Winning for Your Client" in 1991, "Child Custody and Visitation in New Jersey," in 1995, and "Family Law Litigation in New Jersey" in 1995. Mr. Abramson's biography appears in Strathmore's "Who's Who" (1997-1998 Edition) and in America's "Registry of Outstanding Professionals" (2002 Edition).
