Michael G. Stingone (Environmental, Real Estate and Land Use)

Michael G. Stingone is a partner at Winne, Banta, Hetherington, Basralian & Kahn. Michael counsels clients, including developers, national retailers and real estate investment trusts, concerning all environmental aspects of real estate and corporate transactions development; handles cost recovery actions involving insurance claims and claims for contribution on related litigation; and counsels clients in assessing, avoiding and confronting liability under federal and state environmental laws. Mr. Stingone has been practicing environmental and real estate law for15 years and previously was in-house counsel for Handex Environmental Recovery, Inc., an environmental consulting and contracting firm.

Mr. Stingone's specific Brownfield development experience includes major retail, residential and mixed use redevelopments in Newark, Bayonne, Edgewater and Paterson, New Jersey as well as in other northeast states. He frequently speaks before various industry groups concerning environmental law reforms, real estate development issues and environmental cost recovery.
